t5 conversion
I remember reading a post from some time ago about installing a t5 tranny from a mustang into a 61-63 F100 yblock 292. the general jist was that it was a great way to go. I thought I saw a post that referenced to a place where I could buy an adapter plate so it would bolt right up to the 292. I have read an article detailing how to do this by redriiling the holes in the bellhousing, but I was hoping there was an easier way. I would truly appreciate any feedback on this subject.

This place carries adapters to mount t-5 transmissions to y blocks. www.ford-y-block.com. They also have other cool stuff.

Thanks a bunch for the tip. I'm pretty sure that I've been to that site before, but don't remember seeing it. I'll check again. I knew some one might have a better memory than me!

Speedway motors sells bellhousings for flatheads and for Y-blocks. There are also a couple guys from Badgerland F100's that have adapted their stock bellhousing to fit a T-5. Badgerland's website is down right now but they say it should operational soon. Then you can read the tech article on that website.
