In post #2 above I was asking for the year the items came out of and the year they were put into.
Was ALL of the items out of a 1993 F-series truck and went into a 1993 F-series truck?
Other than the dash was any other electrical plugs out of something else or did you make up any wiring harness?
Does it have the same rear end? If so did you plug the VSS (speed sensor) back in on the top center of the rear end?
Make sure that fuse #8 fits in the fuse holder slot snugly. A sloppy fitting fuse will act as an open circuit.
Do you have some sort of voltage tester (ohm meter) to check and see if there's actually 12 volts at fuse #8 with the ignition switch in the "on" position by chance ????
Alright........here's a question a little more specific for you.
Did both trucks have a factory tach, or are you/did you add or delete the tachometer feature ???
If so, there's some wire switching/relocating within the two plugs that go into back of the instrument cluster that you'll have to do as well as moving the flexible circuit board to your truck.
Why do I know this ???........I added a factory tach to my cluster and had to move some wires between the 2 plugs that go into back of the cluster as well as the flexible circuit board.
Now that I think about it, I think I just moved all of my guages over to the tach version cluster. My guages were "better".
If I remember correctly, the flexible film circuit board behind the cluster is WAY different for the "tach version" as opposed to the "non tach" version. It took a little head scratching and some plug pinout research, but it was doable.
