One lifter looks burnt

I have a 2005 F-150 with a 5.4L. It has 136,xxx miles on it. I am in the middle of doing a cam phaser replacement job. When I got my passenger side valve cover off I noticed some the back of the valve cover had some oil particles. I then looked at the back of the cam and noticed the very last lifter and the end of the cam looks burnt. The rest of it look really clean. What does this mean? Should I be worried/need to replace other things? After looking a little closer the last part of the cam is not smooth like the rest of it.

Sounds like a possible oiling issue. There should be no wear on the cam. Not sure where to start looking though.

I was hoping it is not an oiling issue. Do you think that a cam bearing(not sure the proper name) might have gone bad? If so is that replacable? I am going to replace the rocker arm, cam and lash adjuster. I have read that when doing this you need a special spring compressor tool. Do you have to have that or does it just make the work eaiser? Should I replace just the one rocker arm/lash adjuster or all of them on this side? Is there step by step instuctions somewhere on replacing the camshaft?
