few questions

hello everybody.. my name is frank and im new to the forum and just aquired a 88 f250.. well first question was i have a lot of play on the steering wheel i checked all the bushings and joints and was curious if a steering box replacement would fix this issue? second the brakes feel fine but when i press them i hear like a air leak then after holding the brake for some time at a stop light my pedle drops a few inches.. i was thinking brake booster but wasnt sure. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

As far as the steering issue, have someone turn the steering wheel while watch the steerin box, specifically the steering shaft and the pitman arm. If the shaft is turning and the pitman arm isn't moving then your steering box is probably worn. Not sure on the brakes right off the top of my head

Id look at the brake booster (like you said) and the master cylinder.
The steering play is common in these trucks, ive had 4 of them, all of them have had it.
