Stereo Suggestion

Guys - My '03 X has a crummy JVC aftermarket
stereo. It has no presets, limited functions,
annoying display that flashes and changes colors and
no ability to fade speakers.

I'd like to swap it out but not sure which systems
are compatible with X wiring.

Any suggestions?

not sure what work was done - but I have a Pioneer AVIC D3 system (1000 on Amazon) but you can go teh Best Buy and get a newer model for 300-500 if you buy their shelf open box deal..i think it is awesome...have it hooked to an amp and 5 screens. It powers everything and unless the kids take charge I am never over about 16 on the volume scale that goes to 30 without distortion....

I sell JVC, and have one in my truck. I know for a fact they all fade, and have presets, but it is not very intuitive to access. I would look at a Pioneer or Alpine, the Alpine CDE-133BT retails for 159$, has bluetooth and should be easy to use. I love my JVC, but it can be a hassle to adjust anything. I don't listen to radio much, so I don't care about the presets being difficult to use. Just out of curiosity, what is the model number of the deck you have? It may be worth enough to get an easier to use deck in trade.
