I'm adding AC to my 79 F150 and I bought a factory conversion complete except for the compressor and brackets. What years and engines can I get the brackets from at the bone yard? Can I use van or later truck brackets? Do I need to change any pulleys? Part numbers would be great if anyone knows them.
Was this a factory installed, integral A/C (big evaporator housing in the engine compartment) or dealer/aftermarket unit (fits entirely behind the dash)?
If you have this pulley I'd say yes

Check your pulley, it should have that ID number stamped on it.
Here is the page from the Ford parts catalog showing all the applications for that one pulley.
