I have an 85 ford f150 with a 4.9l 300 i6 I currently have a single barrel carb with manual choke my choke is all bent and broken so rather than fix it I want to buy a new carb I was looking for a 4 barrel. Does anyone know where I can get a good and cheap

Good question...because to use a 4v carb will necessitate a 4v intake, heat to the intake (minor detail but necessary) if not using the stock exhaust manifold with an Offy intake manifold, probably conversion to a DS2 ignition...and all this done will not necessarily be done on the "cheap".
I want to make this motor as good as I can I am planning on getting as many performance parts as I can even if there may not be many so I would rather go for a 2 or 4 barrel and I mean cheap as in the best deals not garbage. My truck is pretty much mint and I got a steal on it so I want to make this my toy
but something to consider, the OEM 1V carb is really not all that bad and there is really no performance gains when comparing a 2v to 4V carb....
Without changing/regrinding the cam, the amount of gain with a replacement intake & 2V/4V carb is really, well, it's like giving it a tune up. What I would recommend is to 1) ensure the ignition is in good shape, 2) kick the timing up a tad, 3) differential gears & even 4) headers.....
#1 & 2 will make it feel better, #3 particularly will make it more responsive than spending $ on a carb/intake, etc....especially if you have 300 gears and/or larger tires.
I would visit a local carb rebuilding shop.....they should either have or can get the oem quality replacement parts- typically much better than a "rebuilt unit" (although it does depend on the rebuilder)....and you will have a good running truck!
