Autolite 4100 Jets.
I'm in the process of taking a broken base 4100 and swapping those parts onto another 4100.
The first 4100 has a jet size of 48 prime, and 55 secondary.
The other 4100 had only one set of jets and they are 63's, and i don't remember which bowl they came out of.
The other problem is the jets are two different sizes one being the early 60's, the 63's and the other late 60's the 48&55.
I know where to buy new jets.
I need help figuring out what jets would be good for a stock 400 motor, and i don't know my elevation off hand, but i live in south centralish Missouri.
Anybody have any pointers i would sure appreciate it.
For these heavy rigs and 400 cubes, I'd start with 48 or 50 in the primaries and 60s in the secondaries. Road test and tune from there... back off the secondaries if ya puff black smoke when ya pin the throttle (with the assumption that yer valve guides and rings are good).
As far as I know the 400 isn't burning anything at startup and driving.
I just emailed the guy I purchased the carb from and
He said it was on a galaxie with a 352.
So I think I'll start with the 48 and 60's and go from there.
