i have a stock 2000 7.3 with a 6637 air filter when hauling a bobcat and gooseneck trailer should I haul in tow or overdrive ?

When I tow, if im in the city, I keep the OD off. Now if im getting on the highway for a bit, which is quite a bit down here I leave the OD on. Thats just me. My Ford and Dodge both I tow this way.
