Just installed 4" DP Back exhaust and an H&S Mini on my 2010 F250. Truck has 3.55 gears, stock tires and wheels. Curious as to the best setting to tune to for fuel mileage, both pulling and not. What about low boost fueling settings? Transmission settings? So far, I have seen no gains by installing the exhaust and tuner. Does performing the transmission relearn help? Thanks for any replies.
Personally run the 300 tune all the time. Trans shift settings I have set to low shift point. That's what I have seen for best mileage in personal experience. Have fun, you should notice a difference in mileage for sure.
You noticed throttle response being much more touchy though - right?
Am about to pull the trigger and buy an H&S unit. I am looking at the Black Maxx mainly because of the size of the display, as the mini is so small it would be hard for me to see it and monitor my gauges. I'm not that interested in HP gains as much as I am in the DPF, CAT, and EGR removals. Am purchasing a stainless steel downpipe back exhaust. Any suggestion, thought, or advice as to what I might encounter? Am not really worried about the price diff in the two units.... whats more important to me is being able to see the unit well. Thanks
I have the minimax stuck to the left of the wheel on the windshield and you can see the numbers just fine, can't see the text that says what they are but a few days of driving and you learn what is in each position.
