First off the truck is a 2005 f250 with 150k miles, upgraded from a bully dog tuner to a sct itsx and the transmission didn't like it. Been taking it to the local 1/4 track for awhile and never had any issues with the bully dog, 3rd run with the sct and one funny shift and it's never been the same. I've pulled codes for solenoid c&d open/performance. Pulled the pan to change fluid and install the go go diesel solenoid, there was a lot of metal shavings but I can't say for sure when the last time the filter was changed. Cleaned it up, new fluid and still going into limp mode. So I'm pretty sure the trany is done for. And suggestions for upgrades?

I'm assuming you have a 6.0? If not disregard. There are only a few Tuners out there that won't hurt your tranny too much, Bully Dog is not one of them. Don't know much about the sct either(I don't think guys have had much success with that either). Now, if this is what you wanna do with your truck look into a Suncoast Torqueshift upgrade kit.
