Yes, the clutch set for a 351W will work on an NP435 from a 70's 300 six. Just make sure your clutch set is right for the engine's flywheel and the splines will match the tranny's input shaft.

As for the "flat head style", I don't know what you mean.

Iv heard it called a flat head style pressure plate so i assume thats the name. But instead of have alot of fingers it has 3 thin fingers and alot of springs around the diameter

That style of pressure plate is lighter duty than the diaphram type.

Lucky that the bellhousing didn't get cracked - they're pretty delicate when it comes to out-of-the-ordinary stresses.

If you can, I would just buy a complete kit to suit the engine/flywheel you have, then everything will be new & matched, & will give you good service.

Also, check that you order the right diameter kit (10" vs 11") for your flywheel - some are drilled for both sizes, others aren't.

Do you have the block plate to install in front of the b/housing?

The larger the clutch the more torque it can handle. However, too large of a clutch can be a problem. If your engine is stock and you don't do much towing go with the stock size. If you've upgraded the engine or tow a lot then go with the larger size.
