Has anybody else had issues with an X3 and Invalid Binary Type or other errors? My tuner will start giving me these errors and if I go into the Device Info screen the Engine Strategy and Transmission Strategy shows garbage. For whatever reason this thing corrupts itself. A call to SCT and a few hours later they reload something or another and the thing works again. This issue has occurred since the tuner was almost new. FW updates haven't taken care of the issue. I am on hold with SCT now and I think it is time to press for a new tuner.

I spoke with Brett @ SCT Tech Support and he pulled up the history of my calls and after putting the recovery file on the device and getting my truck flashed back to stock they are going to bring the device in and repair/replace it. It is out of warranty but with the continuing issues that I have had they are going to take care of it for me at no cost to me other than shipping it into them. Sweet!

 

good to hear about that. sorry you have had issues with it. I can assure you it isn't the norm though.
