Gas guage
This evening, I filled up with gas. When I started up the truck, the guage showed less than 3/4 full. Knowing I filled it up, 16+ gallons I drove off. As I drove off on my way home then guage slowly moved up stopping just above 3/4. Do I have a dead float ?

You should probably wait and see. Keep an eye on the guage and make sure it works OK and goes down as you use up the gas in the tank. If it only acts funny like that after gassing up, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as it is showing you an accurate reading while you do your normal everyday driving. I've had that happen every once and a while in several vehicles that I have driven.
