cost differrnce

What would the cost advantage between a 351 stroker either a 393 or a 408 be compared to buildijg a 460? And what would the power outputs be?

You can build a budget 393 with factory 351 rods, 302 pistons and a stroker crank. Cant get much cheaper then used factory parts

The Eagle stroker kit I got was about $1300 if I recall correctly. It includes new crank, rods, pistons, rings, and main bearings. With the heads and cam I selected, the desktop dyno says it should produce about 480 hp and 500 ft-lbs of torque. Yes, you can get more torque from a built 460, but it is heavier and uses a different bell housing. I am not sure how much building a 460 would run. Good luck.

Why not build a 400? The big brother to the 351M can put out a lot of torque but weighs less than a 460.
