Wont start

01 F150. Cranks but no start, will fire with starter fluid spray.
Theft light fast flash, Check engine light on.
Only have one key and don't know what the kid that had owned has done.
Any help much appreciated.

Look for an after market kill\starter switch. If there's an alarm or remote start installed disconnect it and see if it cures your problem.

He has a PATS problem....

Verify PCM power first by observing the CEL light during bulb prove out. No PCM power = no start.

Which leads me to believe its a no fuel delivery issue. Does PATS System effect the fuel? If not, I would check fuel pump fuse, then the wiring, then the pump.
