As I mentioned when the first one failed good Ole Clay sent a replacement out here pretty quick.
That one has now failed and the Part# is R89141 same as the one you have had no issues with for 2+ years. Appears these units are like CPS Units some work some don't even if same Part#. If there were a 'Batch Number' it could be of help, but I guess that's asking too much.
I have kept the failed unit.
I'm at sea at present but will contact the missus to see if she can get a Part# off the old unit.
I'll get back on that asap.
Cheers,
Reg.
On my sender right below the part number is what I believe is a date of manu in some type of code. That would put it into a posible "batch" of senders built on or around the same date.

As soon as I get my new one from Isspro I will get back to you with that number.
They are very small. They are embossed on the round part. I had to use a magnifying glass but at least my sender is mounted high and was clcked in a position that allowed me to ee the numbers.

I'll shoot this thread to Michael as well.

Is that a date of manu code embossed right under the part # ?
Yes, it is a date code below the P/N. The current part number is R89141, but was originally R8914B (the only reason for the change was that we wanted 5 numerical digits on our newest sensors). We have had a few of these fail and are working with the supplier (and may change to another supplier), but the overall numbers are still pretty low. That said, I think they should be more like zero!

G'day Michael,
The missus has got back to me with the Part# & Code stamped on the last failed sender unit.
The Part# already established is R89141 and the Date Code is either 8289A or 0289A (it's not that clear on the first didgit).
Hope this can help with tracking a possible problematic batch??
I installed my gauge last week and I am also waiting for a new sending unit as mine pegged right to 100 psi. Should have new one in a day or two and then I will post the part number of the bad unit. Now having issues with dimmer switch but that is a different story.....

I can only dim a very little or the gauges start flickering. A bright/dim switch would work just fine for me.
Mine is either on or off with no dim in between. All the way to the left and the lights are off, just barely touch it and the lights are all the way on. Lights on gauges even stay on after I shut the truck lights off and the dimmer for the panel lights do not affect the gauges either. I followed the directions and tapped into the blue wire with the red stripe but it does not work for me……

Thats very odd... Can you check the wire you tapped with a test light, see if it dims like it should?
I installed my new fuel pressure sending unit from Isspro. Gauge is reading correct again.
Old sender part #R89141 1036C
New sender part # R89141 2151C
I put my replacement sender on the other day, it shares a part number with the bad one it replaced: R89141 1036C. It is reading correctly again. Replacement came directly from Isspro. Hopefully even though the p/n is the same I got a good one this time.

New part has a different manu date code so it hopefully came from a batch of good senders.
Now what the heck is going on…I just received my replacement sending unit and swapped it out. I turn the key to the on position and the needle moves like a stop watch in roughly 8 pound increments from zero over to 100 then back down to 70 and then back up to 100. I cycle the key off and try again, this time is moves smoothly up to around 65 stops for about 5 seconds then moves up to 100 psi again. I start the truck and it stays at 100 psi. I had the fuel bowl checked at a shop (because I don’t own a tool to check it) and they told me the pressure was 65psi. Any ideas….

My bad one was pegged at 100 psi. Then I installed a RR + bowl delete and the sender behaved very much like you described with the incremental increase to normal range then pegged.
I don't think that mechanical gauge will work without a schraeder adapter which you can get from dieselorings. Last time I ordered from him was a Saturday afternoon, regular shipping, had item Monday. USPS might be broke but they are fast.
