Since these trucks are over 30 years old, is the emblem on Brady's 1970 F350 Crew original to it? Or is it from a 1967/69, or?
Since no Crew Cab emblems, nor any other Crew Cab specific parts are listed in the '64/72 Ford truck catalog....
Removing that puppy (use a plastic putty knife to avoid scratching the paint) to see what its marked ID number is...is muy importante.

Bill wouldnt it have some type of clip on the inside of the cowl? i you find me some to replace one if it breaks i will pull it off and tell you. can you get to the back side if the fenders are off or what about from the air vent?
i was told by the 2nd owner (im the 3rd) that bought the truck in 1976 that the badges were there when he got it, along with the rest of the trim he took off and gave to me in a box. doesnt mean its original but there is a good chance they are.
my guess is when they ran out of one they used the other, then found some of the first style and started to use those again....
one other thing could be what it was ordered for, for example my truck was always a privately owned truck not a utility or government truck, where i wonder if the other badges were for fleets?
My truck was union pacific rr truck It still has the brass tag in the door and also I have all the paperwork for it .so Mabel they came on the fleet trucks?
Bill wouldnt it have some type of clip on the inside (outside) of the cowl?
375890-S100 .. Barrel Clip-Use with 1970/72 F100/350 cowl panel emblems / Obsolete / GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 57 = 800-543-4959.
The clips are inserted into the holes on the outside of the cowl panel, then the pins on the backside of the emblem insert into the clips which expand, retaining both the emblem and clips in place.
The thing is Brady, the clips aren't the issue, the pins on the emblem are. The emblem has to be pried off very carefully by prying just a tiny bit on either side...till it's free.
If you pry on just one side only, the pin on the opposite side could (most likely will!) snap off. Not pleasant, cuz where will you find another emblem?
as Bill said very careful with the pins if you do it my emblem had 1 broken off and the other barely holding on when i went to get it so i took it off so i wouldnt lose it down the road Brady do you mind measuring your emblem
Guess what guess what. Hey boys what's cracking. Im 99 percent sure the two that came off my 72 2wd long bed f350 crew say crew cab special and I got them off without breaking them. I will look this weekened when im down there again. And get you some pictures and part nmber....
seem to be the same emblem back plate with different inserts both measure out and have same numbers on them from looking into it i'm thinking the crew cab custom would be a luxury crew with alot of options and ones with just crew cab were just standard witth not much options?
oh yea brady when i got mine and seen the tabs broken i was going to just use double sided tape seems to work good enough and thats what alot of the new cars use and are tough to get off
