I want to say yes but I'm not sure. I hear dana 60s are the best but my truck is in the shop now and when it gets out its going to be in snow and mountain terrain so I need a locker on the back I just don't know which one to use or what websites have them. I'll ask the shop to look and tell me what it is since I do not know off the top of my head :/.
An F250 should have a D60. You need to find a balance between your budget and needs to get the right traction aid. If money isn't an issue, then an E-locker is a good option, it can be locked solid or opened but then it's still a limited slip when unlocked. ARB is an old option, still a good one though. Some sort of air source is required to operate it though. An Ox Locker gives similar results with a lower price, but with any of these you have installation costs and then an air line, electric cable, or manual control cable that's a bit vulnerable between the frame and axle.
If you don't need manual control, a Detroit Locker is a good one. It allows one wheel to spin faster than the ring gear, but won't allow either to spin slower. They do tend to engage a bit suddenly, and make noise going around corners when both tires have traction.
A limited slip is a good option for a car.
Check out Randy's Ring and Pinion, they have been around forever and carry most brands. Home Page
