As I was towing my camper this weekend, I found that when I needed to get that extra bit of passing power, I couldn't. My superchip gave me a p0299 code. I talked to the dealer and they recommended that I have the turbo cleaned and have the senser replaced. I'm not very knowledgable on diesel engines, but I'm very capable of repairing things myself. I'm curious as to what some of you guys think may be the problem.
I have disconnected the Egr.
I have a Superchip Programmer.
Seems to have good power when camper is disconnected
If you going to Play you need a ScanGaugeII MINIMUM so you can check the sensors
SGII will show BOOST psi so we can tell if its Over/Under BOOSTING
Plug the EGR Valve back in it can mees with the Fan for cooling either Deleate the EGR Cooler or Run it and any way you look at it Keep the EGR Valve installed to keep FAN & PCM Happey EVEN with a EGR Cooler Deleate
