I got a cheap magnaflow 4in exhaust and it went in with no real issues. No cat or muffler with it kicking out right before my rear tire. Really lets my powermax scream.

Did it come pre-assembled, or do all the pieces come in the box individually?

Individually. It is banded together. But I have no leaks or anything.

Okay cool. What I'm thinking about doing is having just the tailpipe, the part that goes over the axle and out the back painted black, so I get the look of the MBRP black series, without paying $500.

Any idea what kind of paint they use for exhaust?

I was in the same boat your talking about...wanted it black but didn't want to pay extra for it so my solution was to take the section that goes over the axle, and the tailpipe and painted them both black using paint I found at Wally World designed for cleaning up your BBQ pits. It's rated at like 12 or 1300'F, and as of yet no issues to speak of. Just another option for you to explore

i just did a diamond eye 4" turbo back and the down pipe went in just fine. the only clearance issue i had was it was rubbing on the leaf spring shackle and trans crossmember, and that was just a matter of adjusting the hangers to remedy that problem.

haven't done a tip yet but i am planning on a black 6" myself.

That black BBQ paint works pretty good. Used it on my dual pipes on the old F-150. Held up >1 yr with no issues

That's awesome, exactly what I was thinking about doing with just the over-axle piece.

I'm also going to get the diamond eye 4" after I found their systems on puredieselpower, like 315 bucks for stainless steel and 215 for the aluminized.

I really like the hi-gloss black tips, so I'm going to do one of those. Still just not sure whether or not I want to do like a 18" long one or not.

Also, should I go with the diamond eye stainless or just the aluminized? I don't really wanna spend 500 plus on a MBRP system.. Haha.

I purchesed the 4" MBRP from Clay over at Riff Raff cause his was the best price I could find, his service is top notch, and he is a site sponsor as well. $276 got it to my door, and it was free shipping. Here is the link:

Still more for the same material though.

If I understand this correctly, the downpipe is 3.5" and I'd have to buy the cat converter delete pipe as well?

The cat and muffler delete pipe came with the above linked kit. That is why is states "offroad use only". As for the dimensions of the downpipe I am not certain of the diameter, but what I do know is it's bigger than stock, and no beating was required to get it installed. I want to say it was 4" all the way, but I am on the other side of the world from my truck at the moment or else I would go out and try to verify. You could always igve Clay a call over at Riff Raff or shoot him an email prior to making your decision. He will get back to you really quick.

I think that's what I'll do in the morning, just give him a call. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Where did you purchase it? And could you tell me if this is 4" all the way, including converter delete? I'm dumbfounded.
