Or you can buy 4 teflon sheets from grainger and put 2 in front of each tire and drive on top of them. You will be able to turn your wheels then without jacking up the front. We use them when we down jack our aircraft and the top sheet slides on top of the other.

I did the synthetic power steering flush early summer and had a noticeable improvement in both steering and braking but still was not happy. This past weekend I changed out the power steering pump with new fluid again and now my truck is right. Steers and brakes as it should.

Dang! I remember grease plates too. We use two sheetmetal plates w grease between to do nose steering checks on the ol KC-135's.
Sorry, back to the topic.

We use to use those also but they were just so messy.
Just did mine this AM ! Wifey work the wheel and I kept it full of fluid! Did not look to bad but I ran about a qt threw it and it was a nice clear red! Next time I get in a parking lot I will know if it is any better ! Was kind of stiff !
Just flushed mine with 4 quarts of Mercron V (non-synthetic). Brake pedal had gotten a bit mushy but steering was still fine. Brake pedal is definitely better now.
Two questions -
1. I got some air in the line after about 1/2 quart flush. Only a few very small bubbles present as I finished up. Should be ok, right?
2. How often are y'all flushing? Every few years/100k miles or just waiting for mush pedal? My truck is a 2003 Ex with 166k miles. Doubt it had ever been done.
i did mine a couple of weeks ago and it didnt seem to change it that much, well not as much as you guys are seeing with your trucks. the steering pump was replaced the day before i brought it with 50000kms or there abouts on the clock cause the first owner had heavy steering issues. i found some days it would be easier than others is there something else to look into with the system if the flush doesnt do the job.
