Key question

I need to get a new key made for my 2001 expy! Is there a chip in the keys for this year? And If so what do I have to do to go about getting another key made????

Yes there is a chip and the key will have to be programmed into the on board anti-theft system. You can go to the dealer, but lube up good first because you're going to get bent over when it comes to the price, or you can go to a locksmith for a lot less. Places like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. might be able to copy it, but they can not program the new key into your truck.

Alloro is spot on. I had to have one made for my 2001 because I only got one key when I bought the truck. I had a mobile lock smith come to me to do it. It cost around $100 if memory serves.
