I have a 05 Ford F350 with the XL package, so its pretty basic stuff. I have the factory none CD player radio right now, my question is if I had access to a cheap factory radio with CD player could I just swap them out? Would I need a different wiring harness or anything?
Yes. It should plug right in. You could also spend a couple hundred bucks on eBay for an aftermarket radio like I did and get all kinds of goodies like Bluetooth, DVD, backup cam and Nav. It also plugs right in to the existing wiring with an adapter.

What brand radio is that??? I have been wanting to upgrade the factory radio, I was looking at a Kenwood but its hard to spend $1200 on a radio.

It's a nobrand Chinese radio I bought off eBay brand new for about $200. It has DVD, CD, iPod, mp3, USB, 2 cam inputs, TV, Bluetooth and GPS with a 7inch touchscreen. You can find them on eBay all day long! Buy a wiring harness and mounting adapter at Autozone and you're good to go. Takes less than an hour to swap them out. You have to pull the dash and remove 4 screws.
RPM371, Ya I was just looking at them on eBay, Where did you install the GPS antenna at? Also how good is the sound, Maps?
One more thing I see it comes with a Touch Pen, can you use your finger to use it or just that Touch Pen it comes with?
Thanks ~Gage~

These are the types of radio's I'm talking about
my current one
If you have access to a close model year, (05-06-07) it should just swap right out. Or if you have a little $ to spend, go with what the other guys suggest.

I installed my GPS antenna near the defrost vent and routed the coax thru the dash. The sound is good thru my factory speakers. Not extremely thrilled with the maps that came with it, but that can be upgraded to Garmin. I have no problem using the touchscreen with my finger. I also put a screen protector on to keep it from getting scratched up.

For what it costs, it's a good radio.
Thanks for the info....I didnt know you can upgrade the maps with Garmin, does that just require buying the Garmin maps and installing them?
Thanks again ~Gage~
