Hey guys, sorry about the simplicity of the question but it would really help me out. Anyone know the size and thread count of a 2002 F250 superduty tie rod end? Right hand or left hand thread?
I purchased a couple of tie rods from rock auto PN 4011744B. They are the left outter rods from 4wds. I'm hoping they have the right curve I need for clearance around some radius rods on a 31 ford AA that I am putting superduty hubs on. I have to make a new tie rod to fit and am trying to find out what size tap I'll need to thread the tie rod in.
I've searched for a couple of hours now and can't find the info. If I can find out I might be able to get this thing fabbed up this weekend if I can tell my buddy what tap I'll need, before he makes the trip over.
So I actually got them early. I think the will work perfectly for the clearance issues. They are one serious chunk of metal though. The thread diameter is 1.35 inches which I am thinking is 1 11/32? And there is 15 threads per inch.
Maybe this is a metric thing 34.29 mm and 5.9 threads per centimeter? Not sure how the metric measurements work. I'll go look that up.
