Help Dampner bolt head size

Help Dampner bolt head size

Guys I tryed all my sockets and must need to get one. Do any on you guys know the right size socket and type for the dampner so I can turn the crank by hand. Its a 6.9 86 motor. Help, thanksChet

Thank you. I finely got it. It is 15/16 on 6.9 . After dinner I'll go check and repost. Boy once you're almost at TDC with the dampner it turns easy. Only had to turn 1/4 inch and went right by it. Got it and the injection pump is back out. Now I have to figure how to line it up. Going to use the count and Puty on the flywheel and see what I can see.

Ford F834, thank you for the information. It was 15/16. I just had 7/8 in my head for some reason. A friend came over and had sockets in his cab so I was wrong. God bless,
