I have read here about some that have swapped out their seats, bench for buckets, and buckets for bench. I will only have grownups riding with me and it seems so much effort to fold down the right end of the bench to get to the rear seat. I am spoiled by a conversion van I had.
Seems some holes will have to be drilled in the floor to accomplish this swap.
Not sure about the seat belts, didn't pay attention to that part of the post.

Or just remove the smaller seat. That's what I did. Makes room for a cooler while still allowing easy access to the rear. You'll want to plug the bolt holes. The turbo gets quite loud.

Took me about 10 minutes but I found the thread I used to swap the seats in my 2003.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...l-it-work.html

I believe the 2002 and up have all holes for both rear buckets or 60/40 split. There is a great pic in this thread that showed all holes with the carpet removed.

I took the rear buckets and carpet out of my 2004 6.0L Excursion and put it in the 2003 7.3L Excursion that previously had 60/40 split. The 2004 got the carpet and 60/40 split bench out of the 2004. No drilling in either truck. All the holes are there.

Someone mentioned second row buckets are smaller than first row buckets, any one have a picture of second row buckets that were installed from factory ? Could first row buckets be installed in second row ?
