Hi, I'm new to your forum. Looks like a great source of information.
I have just been issued a 2000 Ford Ranger for work & would like to install an AudioVox CCS-100 aftermarket cruise control. The sheet that comes with it listing vehicles with VSS doesn't include Rangers past the year 1995. I would hope this is just an outdated list, & that the 2000 models would have it, eliminating the need for magnet sensor installation.
Any help is much appreciated.
The RABS uses a VSS on the rear to determine speed, 4wABS might be different for speed but I believe they still have a speed sensor on the rear for the RABS. If someone needs to know for sure I'll craw under our 2002 and look.
Thanks for the replys.
FYI, here's an excerpt from a page I found on "the12volt.com" website.
Hank...is the operation just as good using the magnets?

I probably have about 10K on it since I hooked it up and they have not caused any problems. Its basically the same setup as they used to be from the 70-80's when that was all that they offered.
Their (audio-vox) customer support is pretty good as I had several questions during the install.
forget what year ya have but I installed the butons up under the light switch on the dash (94 model). Had to drill a hole in the panel and put double stick tape to hold it. Also the real problem I had was that the black wire on the switch needs to be grounded and I don't think that was real clear in the instructions.
