93 Tempo
My elderly neighbor has this Tempo that he bought new and here lately it won't start occasionally. I looked at it and all the connections are clean and tight from 2 previous trips to repair shop along with a new battery. It won't click or anything. Naturally when I was there it started perfectly. I was thinking maybe starter,solenoid or Park,Neutral switch because when I tried it in neutral one time it failed to start until I moved lever,but then couldn't duplicate it again. Where it the P-N switch? It has the floor shifter.

While those switches do fail occasionally, you should take a look at the ignition switch. They were very failure prone on Ford products through the 80-90s, enough to cause a recall.
