dyno readings

gday guys

first time on a dyno today and not sure what to make of the numbers.
my max BHP 254.6, but the torque in LB was just over 1600 WTF.
i didnt think it was right but not knowing what i was looking at on the computer i didnt want to question the dyno man and get him angry.
this was in the 140 aggresive tune from DP. i thought it might have been a bit more on the BHP or does this number sound close with my mods in my sig.
and what do you guys make of the LBs of torque...
cheers
josh.

i think the hp is a little low. i was thinking guys with intake chip and exhaust were getting closer to 300hp. but i could be wrong.

thats what i was thinking of seeing before it was on there.
even if it is 250 hp it feels powerful, i cant wait to get some more goodies
and try to get to the magical PMR 400 mark.

Give us more info from the dyno sheet. What gear did you run in? What RPM did you start the run at? What rpm were the max hp and torque?

it was 3rd gear. it has kph at the bottom of the sheet. a little over 70 kph is where the lines start, torque is at its highest, hp rises and peaks at 100 kph then drops away. what i did notice was he would build the revs up to about 3000 then load up the dyno and floor it. i thought he was revving to high to start with but i have never seen it done before so i didnt want to question him..
my thoughts would be to load it up and floor it at about 2200 to 3200 max does that sound right.

Yeah, that's the problem. You were already out of the power range when he started the run. Same thing happened to me at RRE-09. Have him start the run at around 1600 to 1800 rpm.
