roadmaster active suspension

Just bought this suspension helper for my E350 srw v10 extended van 2005.
Easy install, $349. Immediately a better ride, more control and less roll in corners. Gained 1 1/2 inches in rear height compared to before and I will update when I tow my trailer next week. I was hoping to gain an inch or so of height when hooked up. I am not carrying any more weight, just removing sag from the rear of the van.
Impressed so far and the ride is better than without it. I have bilsteins on the van already.
Andrew.
There are two factory adjustments one dime width and one quarter width in the coils. I have it set up on the dime one and can go with tougher adjustment if I need to.

Driven 100 miles now and I thought I would give my impressions. I never thought of the rear springs on a E350 being soft, but there is much less steering correction needed when the road is bumpy and dips and rises. It seems the active aspect of the roadmaster really helps to keep the van from body roll and the ride is better than before the install. Cornering is much faster and the whole stability is impressive just from a daily drive perspective.
I'll post more when I tow at the end of next week
Andrew

Andrew, I put a set on my E-150 Chateau about 15 months ago after reading this thread that JWA started, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...uspension.html

I can tell you that the rear now feels like a late model SUV vs. the floating van feel. Handles better and hard bumps (street and dirt road at the beach) don't reverberate in the rear.

Before the install, seemed like my van sat a 1/2 lower in the rear than the front. Now, I've got to be 1 1/2" higher in the rear. I bought the RAS heavy duty unit. At the same time I added Bilsteins all around.

When I towed it seems much more stable, hard to know how much was due to the RAS or the Bilsteins but I'm happy.

In addditon I added the steering stablizer from the thread you posted. That worked great too.

One day I'll need to find a similar, unmodified, van and do a back to back to remember how bad the stock ones handle!

Best wishes, Mike
