97 slight miss on injector #1,#2
HELLO,I have only posted in the 6.4 section so this is my first one here. My 17 year old son has purchased a 97 f350 drw cc and it has aquired a miss but not all the time. We changed the cps and fuel/air filters and the oil/filter. The fuel filter was clgged up with some grey sticky/slimy stuff. I cleaned the housing out and it restored alot of the power. My? is what is the best thing to run thru the fuel to clean the injectors? I was told they may be clogged or partially clogged so the shop up the road says. Thanks for any help as I am trying to help my son without breaking the bank.william

On the valve cover gaskets there are two plugs. The wiring goes through the gaskets to the injectors and glow plugs. There are two plugs on each gasket toward the middle of the engine. Unplug them and inspect both parts for burnt pins in the plugs. Not to say that's is definitely the problem, just a good place to start looking.
