1999 ranger 2.5 l will not stay running

I am hoping someone can help me out..

My sons ranger threw a check engine light and then he broke down and ran the battery dead while trying to restart.. till we got home and charged it up the computer was clear.

When we start it it will idle for about 4-7 seconds and die , try and give it any gas and it dies. With out the error I am at a loss of what to try next.

Here is what we have tried so far to fix this problem

Changed Fuel Filter
Changed Throttle Position sensor
Changed Idle Air Control Valve
Changed Plugs and wires
Change Oil Filter and Air Cleaner
Changed Fuel Pump and Screen.

at this point all the common sense stuff in my mind for this is been changed

So I am hoping someone may have a clue, we can continue to blindly change sensors. but I am hoping someone may have and idea

My next step is Mass air flow sensor if I dont hear from ya'll soon

He really needs the truck up and running ASAP since it is his transportation for work.
