im looking at buying a 78 f150 but it has a wiring issue, after about 20 mins of running it blows the main fuse under the hood. im not sure what would do this, im thinking if i buy it i might put all new wiring in it but if i don't have to i wont lol. and the guy said something about back feeding into the coil, not too sure of all the details on that. well, if anyone knows what would cause this problem let me know so i can make a decision.

If you buy it, do it expecting the worst case scenario. I would price a wiring harness if someone sells one for that year truck, and make an offer accordingly. There is no way of knowing what is wrong with it, it could be anything.

No idea what "back feeding the coil" is supposed to mean.
