Need Advice on Rust Repair

Paying someone to do rust repair isn't cheap. I have had body guys tell me they just can't make money doing rust repair without charging more than anybody should be willing to pay. It will cost.
If you are not going to weld or rivet new metal into the floor then reinforced fiberglass is one choice. To stop rust you have to isolate it from the atmosphere. Por15 is one choice. The two together make for a pretty stout repair.
They have a putty like filler that gets hard enough to drill and tap that the edges and seam could be filled with.
My opinion would to cut metal and secure it but otherwise I would say check out the Por15 catalog.
Basically you coat the metal with their urethane product, lay in the mesh, coat again with urethane. There are good instructions in their free catalog but not so much on the website.

Handling Instructions: Do not handle fabric with bare hands.
Because it is a special type of fiberglass cloth, the fibers may pierce your skin and you will experience discomfort. Wear a pair of gloves (or other protection) whenever you handle this cloth. As you cut the cloth, some fibers may fly into the air, so be sure to wear the mask provided while cutting. Please note that there is one large piece of cloth in this envelope.
