whats your build? post your pics!

Im not even half way done with my build. I just started this truck in January. 1979 ford supercab on a 1999 frame and chassis.
it has come a long way.this was the plan for custom floor but was to rotten so...so i changed the total floor to the 1999 supercab floor.welded in bracing before I moved the top off the old bottom and weld in the new.had to add 1 1/2 of metal on each side of the cab, shaved some of the back to sit flat on the 99 floor got a little zeallous with the cutting but easy to fix, More welding! y I had alot of work done on the 1999, had rattletrap floor liner to a 6-8in liftit had dual shocks Icons, stage three tranny, boost inhialator, traction bars, exhaust system,20in ICCE wheels, atz tires 35s,ATS turbo housing, extreme wheel, ccv down pipe, fuel pressure raised, banjo bolts drilled out, oil galley crossover lines, folding steps, BF K&N air filter, gooseneck hitch, tinted windows even the front, sterio sytem with 10in kicker sub. R.I.P. 1999 body In the works before the 99 became a donor, dual fuel tanks, FASS pump, high output HPOP, intake runners, water methanel injection. injectors, ect. all but tanks and intake runners got put on hold.

Same old pic.

Attachment 294129

Just did a master cylinder swap this weekend so now it's mechanically sound and running well for a 35yo truck. I had plans to paint it and swap on the NOS grill, inserts and steering wheel plus some nicer chrome bumpers that I have for it. I've decided to not do that and am probably going to be redoing the exhaust. It's got stock manifolds with huge glass packs and a nasty exhaust leak right now. I'll probably sell the parts I planned on swapping and do some headers/new mufflers on it instead. I'm not really interested in making the truck look better since it's just a beater and is going to get banged up. I've grown to like the patina on the original paint as well.

It's also starting to get some dry rot on the tires and I'd like to replace them with some 35's eventually. Once I get off my *** and get my Durango sold I'll probably buy tires with some of that money. I just dropped a grand on tires for the E55 recently and am in no hurry to do it for another vehicle.

Here is my progress to date, condensed (I think? )

Day we brought it home, $650 with a shattered piston

Beat up 460

Yanked that thing out

Attempted to use an industrial engine (didn't work w/trans, paid $350 for it)

Bringing second new engine home, $800 for built '72 460 and '73 built C6 w/shift kit

Stayed up until 10:30 reattaching wires so I could get going first thing the next morning

Skip forward about 3 months and I got nice shiny valve covers, and finished removing all the smog equipment

In February. From when I got it, the only cosmetic changes have been front bumper push bars ($7 each at PnP), chrome headlight doors ($4 each at PnP), and H4 headlight conversion w/HID kit ($30 lenses, $85 HID kit)

With my DD

Sort of what the inside looks like now. Mostly stripped in prep for rust repair and paint
