How was it to do that? I wish I had that option, but the dealer wanted 550 to do it. Im really nervous getting a drill near the truck. But I really would like cab lights.

I ordered the lights and wiring harness from a Ford dealer and the install was nerve racking at first, after all you are drilling 15 holes in the roof of a new truck. I read up on what everyone else tried and recommended and had it done in about 3-4 hours. Hardest part was finding center. It was worth it, I've always liked cab lights.
Where did you Tie into the head light switch at. About to order the same thing you did but with the chrome bracket
Thanks
Tom
I popped off the light switch and used a test light to see which wire on the back side was hot and when. Doing that, I was able to find the wire. I might go back in and change it up because the one I found, the three grill lights don't come on when I unlock the truck, but they do come on with the switch when I put it in parking lights and on auto. I might just leave it anyways. I think it was one of the top row of wires, furthest from the drivers door, if that makes sense.
How did you fit your light bar in the grill? I ended up attaching it to the push bar.
Is your's a driving beam pattern, flood or spot?
I hung it right off that pipe in front of the radiator as you see. Used hose clamps where those zip ties are. Also added some additional support to that pipe.
Mine was the "spot" pattern but the "Elite" model that he sells has little lenses in front of each LED to greatly enhance the spot effect. I like mine kind of in between a spot and flood as I need a wider and not longer throw.
On the bottom of the page I also got 3 black plastic mount brackets and 3 two wire pigtails for the above lights. I went with the 18" pigtails, glad I did. Then I went to Lowes and found some metal brackets about 2" x 8" and cut them to about 4" or so. These brackets go behind the grill and the black plastic mount brackets go in front and they bolt together. The pigtails just snap into the lights and lights snap into the brackets. I ran all the positive wires together and tapped into the headlight switch. The other wire is the ground.
I thought about hooking these into an up lifter switch, but decided to go this route instead.
Question for you I just got my lights deliver and was ready to install question I have does the pig tail hit your plastic fins on the grill. Looks like mind will rest or touch on the fins
Please let me know I have the front grill off now LOL.

Yea, I had to shave mine down a bit to fit in between the grill. I used a dremel tool and shaved the black pig tail down pretty close to the wire. Forgot to mention that earlier. Good luck. Make sure to add pics when done.
