Im prepping my 96' f150 XLT for paint and I need to remove the side mirrors how do I go about that I've tried the two screws on the outside and the bolt on the inside, but it's still connected and what bout the door handle
The paddle mirrors have 2 torx screws from the outside and one 8mm headed bolt from inside(under door panel)
If you have swing aways, they have 4 torx bots from the outsie
If you have the gooseneck mirrors, they have 5 torx bolts from the outside
For the swing aways and goosnecks, the nutserts sometimes come loose from the door and just sprin, then you need to pull the door panel and hold the nutsert with visegrips
