It's smells like something is melting on my truck, it's does with the a/c on coming from blower area under good any ideas what it is? Also no smoking anywhere
Ok, just noticed today only reason it stopped was BC I turned AC off, but I found out out only smells with AC, not heat, with the truck running, I can run it on AC with it the keys on not started, out don't smell.
Start the truck with the hood open, a/c on, and look at the A/c pump? Is the pully spinning or is the belt just burning on it. Mine frooze up and took me 2 weeks to figure it out.
Weird, my alternator in my 1990 f150 just caught fire tonight. I have a 300 straight 6. Driving down the road coming off the highway and I smelt a electrical/melting plastic smell. Pulled over, opened the hood up and both connectors on the alternator were burning. Blew it out and had it towed home. Anyone have any ideas?
