I have a 1985 F150 Flareside that runs great but has no AC, which I am trying to fix. My issue with it, is that it has an unusual AC system. There are only 3 settings: AC, Heat, and Defrost. And depending on which you choose, depends on what vents it blows out of. What is also unusual is there is 2 separate blowers, one that is used for the heater (under the hood with the heater core) and the other is used for the ac (under the passenger side dash). I'm running into problems replacing the blower under the passenger dash, it just doesn't seem to blow enough air out(I think the original owner tried to rig something up to work), but I can't seem to find any information about this AC blower anywhere. Does anyone have this style AC that they could show me a picture of their passenger side under the dash. Thanks for your help!
Well I certainly appreciate the clarification, but even so I can't seem to find any information on the where to get a new AC blower box or how it properly attached to the vent system on the passenger side. As it sits right now the original owner cracked the blower box and tried unsuccessfully to fix it and re attach it. Do you happen to have any pictures or know where I could find one? The haynes manaul wasn't much help...
