pickup dump conversion

I was thinking how neat it would be to be able to hoist my pickup bed like a dump truck to unload. I have seen some ads but would like to know if anyone ahas done such a conversion and how it worked out. I have a pto on my transfer case so I was hoping to add a pump cylinder and tank that I have laying around, but I need a supply for the hidge and other hardware.

pickup dump conversion

Never have done it but on Trucks the tv show on the power block, they did it to a single cab F-150 and it looked all stock except when they flipped the switch and man did that baby unload the load of dirt they put in it..Makes the work a hell of alot easyer..

I think the main bag that lifts it, is all air, it has no hydrical lift so u don't have to replace fluided...

Try to get a tape of the Trucks show, they did it right and good, and it had some good tips.

northerntools.com sells a complete kit for about $900. You can make a manual system, as long as you have a welder, for much less.
