The good Mod thread

Well,, as per my sig you can see what i`ve done to the truck. Our annual vacations includes driving from Surrey BC to Hedley bc with a fuel stop in Princeton BC before we get there. Guess what,, I pulled into Princeton and still had half a tank whereas before Id be pulling in with less than a quarter tank. We are going back up next week and will record better numbers for you but I am still shocked at the difference.

Looking forward to your numbers - my warranty expires in Sept and I will be doing a DPF delete - minimum - I pull a 34 foot 5er - ran it dowm from northern Illinois to Florida this past Jan - love the way it handles the pulling - but want to save this engine from the regens. Thanks

I found my towing miles incressed over 20% with the tuner. Also, no fuel in the oil.

Yep, best thing I have done. Instead of filling weekly it makes it about a week and a half, and no more "cleaning exhaust filter" when I am 2 miles from Home after driving 40 miles of highway. Just hope the engine wasn't severely hurt going 100K with all those damn regens. Figure if it just used 2 gallons per regen the tuner and DPF delete pipe will be paid for in 12 months just from that, if it gets a little better all around mileage and I can go 6-7K miles on an oil change it will be 10 months or less.

Not yet; trying to lay the plan in the next couple of weeks so I can implement it after labor day. I will solicit opinions here - like many others already have- seeking the best options - especially for a tuner - I want to keep it simple - currently I drive for mielage - even with bio - I regulaily run over 20 MPG on road trips- (not pulling the 5er)
