Any suggestions for front turn signal purchase locations. My '01 has the amber lenses and was looking to purchase clear with amber LED. I'm having difficulty locating any.
eBay has them. That's where I got mine. Only thing I don't like about them is they make the turn signal blink super fast like a bulb is out. Other than that they are pretty cool.
If you have LEDs in the front and rear they will blink extremely fast unless you put in a resistor kit. If you don't mind them blinking that fast then don't worry about it. I put LEDs in the rear and regular bulbs in the front just to keep it from blinking super fast. Hope this helps
If your blinkers are going super fast, get a heavy duty flasher. If you need help to put it in, post that request here. An HD flasher will return it to normal blink rate. With the resistor kit, there is a whole lot of extra wiring needed. The flasher is plug and play.
The standard flasher is thermally operated. Blink rate relies on bulb resistance, so more or less bulbs will cause a change in the blink rate. Resistance is less with an LED bulb, and will be 'seen' as fewer bulbs in circuit.
An HD flasher is digital and uses circuit timing for the blink rate. It doesn't matter how many lights you have or what their wattage is, the blink rate is the same.

You are correct sir. That is another way to keep them normal and I forgot about it.
Most any auto parts store will have the HD flasher that fits your particular model/year ford in stock. It is a common item.
I got mine at autozone, but I'm sure o'Reilys, Napa or Carquest will have them. It's a plug n play thing.
I just installed LEDs all around my truck for exterior lights (except headlights of course. But those are going HID ). Tail / stop / turn, backup, license plate, cargo / third stop lamp, front turn signal.
Thanks for the info guys. I am searching for a true LED replacement light fixture for the front instead of just a bulb. Found one on eBay but it doesn't give a lot of details and was hoping someone had tried this or had another suggestion.
I went with 05+ headlights and just the LED bulb replacement. Headlights from headlightsdepot.com - I think it turned out looking much better than previous (2000 truck).
But if you're looking for LED front fixtures I'm not sure. I know Recon has rear fixtures but haven't seen fronts.
