I would agree, of the little trucks, the F-1 is the most popular. I prefer the larger models, I have a '50 F-6, and yes, parts are available from Joblot Automotive of Queens, NY, including brake drums. They probably have them for the F-3 also. I figure it's pretty much theft-proof, too, with it's non-synchro transmission and vacuum two-speed axle. And outhouse? A tree fell on mine, I didn't rebuild.

I don't know how this compares to dirt roads and outhouses, but I have some pictures of a moose I took over my fence. I live in the middle of town.

And to all of you punks who were bragging about spring being there, where ever you are, Shut up! We had six inches of new snow over the weekend. I had to do inside projects for the wife.

Where is this $500 F-3, if you aren't interested? I have an F-3, F-4 , F-5 and an F-7 Firetruck. I leave the little F-1s for the boys.

Boy, you must have a nice garage to put all those big toys in................They'd fill up my whole driveway and then some.

It's good to see that some one is fixing those forgotten trucks.

My barn has a 99 F250 SD with V10, an 8N tractor, the F-5, a 97 Ranger and three 67-68 Mustangs. The F-3 is in my shop being completed. The F-4 (and an F-1 Panel) are outside.

The Firetruck will soon become the center of a big jungle gym for my son.

Sasha98,

You said you leave the little F-1's for the boys, do you mean your sons, or us little boys who like smaller trucks?

I don't take any offense if it's the latter, but in that case what are your plans for the panel? Are you looking to sell it?

Just joking about the little trucks.

No plans for the panel. For now, it is giving shade to the locust tree that is coming up through the floor.

I was just curious if you might sell it, but I don't know how close you are to Wyoming. My dad has seen one on a ranch that he did some work for, but we are guessing they don't want to sell it and don't really plan to do anything with it. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask though.

Everyone seems to have covered the bases here. The half-tons are easier to fix up and parts are easier to find, but the bigger trucks are more unique. Of course, 50's are still pretty unique no matter what flavor...
