There is no such thing as "no more flutter" as long as the turbo is operational. The question is can you get your exhaust big and loud enough to mask the sound.

Your are correct. It got me thinking after my original statement. That's why I went home last evening and got an ear full while following my wife.

Louder is better!

 

How loud is it? Much louder than stock or just slightly louder with a cooler sound?

Outside it is much louder and sounding. Inside the cab it really isn't that much louder at all, just a nice low rumble following you down the freeway.

 

I might try it this weekend then after i get my tymar installed.

I think I am going to end up getting a 4'' downpipe , and fabbin up my own 5'' exhaust. The 18wheeler place I used to work at sells that flexable exhaust tubing , which can be bent in all sorts of ways, and I can also get a 5'' exhaust turn-down from them.

I saw a F-350 Dually with this type of setup once , but he had actuall 18wheeler stacks as side pipes.......
