they're no longer made.been discontinued for many years now.iv got the older mt480 which only does luminosity.if you can get one for 200-300 with at least a 7 day return policy to make sure it all works,it's worth it.otherwise,i wouldn't mess with these older meters.

I bought the Ferret setup and it is pretty easy to use. Once you get over the initial cost, it is free to use. I think this is easier than the luminosity probe and can be less cost than a used unknown piece of equipment.
Pay for a shop to do the timing twice and you are money ahead. That assumes they are even timing it correctly!
The Ferret can also be used for different engines by just getting the appropriate size piezo crystal shoe that attaches to the line.
