The past couple of months I have been noticing a vibration while coasting, that is usually more noticeable at freeway speeds. The vibration kind of comes and goes intermittently. As you get back on the accelerator, the vibration increases in frequency until the engine has caught back up and is and pushing the truck again.
The behavior and noise seem to be the same whether or not I'm towing something.
I've changed the front and rear diff oil within the past 2 years or so. I used mobil 1 oil without adding any additional friction modifier . The mobil 1 stuff says that it has friction modifier in it already but do I need to add any more? My understanding is that the friction modifier issue would be most pronounced during sharp turns.
Could this be something to do with the torque converter? Trans oil is clean and was just changed last fall (again using mobil 1 atf).
The truck is a 2002, F250 7.3L Powerstroke with no lift.
