Freeze plug issues

My 96 f150 5.0 is puking water from passenger side rear of the block. Can't see it but because truck runs so well I figure it's a core plug. Anybody ever cut a hole in the floor to get to them? I know it's not the right way to do them but I'm on disability and short on cash

. Any guidance would be helpful.

More likely to be the intake gasket at the back.

If the intake gasket was leaking would it still idle and run fine?

Yeah, it could just be leaking from the water passage.

I've got same issue on my 5.0 - coolant leak behind passenger motor mount. Radiator shop says freeze plug or intake but can't get back there to see which. Said they aren't equipped to do it and I ahve to go to mechanic.
Any idea what I'm up against for labor hours to check/fix either?
