Warm oil temp???
Hey everybody,
I just got back from VT vacation today but I had a question. The temperature of my oil hit 225 according to the edge a few times. It was about 90 degrees outside and I was towing my 26 foot travel trailer and was going up hill on RT 89 in VT. At what temperature should I start to get concered about it? I just changed my oil to shell rotella 5-40 synthetic before I left.

EOT hit 225* while it was 90* out and going up a hill. And pulling your trailer?
No worries!
What was your ECT? 210-215*? Might have even hit 218* and heard the roar of the fan when it engaged?
I have seen 234* EOT in 95* temps climbing hills while towing my 8000# TT.
What is it? Truck will de-fuel at 253* EOT?
When you get to 230* ease off the throttle.
