Ok you have completely confused everyone I think. The only thing that goes into a valve cover is the PCV valve.. which has nothing to do with the EGR system. And there should be no T in the vacuum line from the EGR valve to the control solenoid either so your description makes no sense for that either. What year truck and what engine are you working on?
Yeah, late night, writing it as I look at the solenoid, it is the PCV, here's the image. Saw the break in the vacuum line, and when I lifted the hose up, the engine idled a lot better. So just need to replace the tee, might as well replace the PCV too, its pretty old I guess. Off a 94' F350 7.5l
